I have some totally random facts to tell you guys. I gathered them over the past couple days, and I just feel like sharing them with someone.
Uberly Random Fact #1: The largest amount of money ever spent on a cow -- I repeat, cow -- at an auction was 1.3 million dollars. Which is really bizarre. There must have been something super special about that cow -- ooh, maybe it milked liquid gold.
...
Doubtful, but an intriguing thought, nonetheless.
Uberly Random Fact #2: Cranberries are also known as Bounceberries.
Supposedly, they get air pockets inside them when they become ripe, which allows them to bounce. Weird.
Uberly Random Fact #3: Whenever Pop-Eye first graced our televisions in 1931, the United States' sale of spinach increased by 33%.
Whoa. How way cool is that? That means that there must have been some really muscular men, way back in the day...
Uberly Random Fact #4: There is such a thing as fear of teeth, and it's known as odontophobia.
Fear of teeth? How would someone with odontophobia make it through the day? I mean, how would they eat, and brush their teeth, and floss, and smile at their reflection in the mirror, and all that stuff? It's a little strange -- no offense to any odontophobists out there, of course. You're probably the coolest people ever.
But your fear is a tad on the "okaaay then" side.
Hm, so those are all of my immensely odd facts -- for now. I'll probably find some more soon. And then I'll post them for you to read. =)
Oh, and seventeen more days until MR4 comes out... I think I'm going to die. The days are dragging by agonizingly slow. Sigh.
Until next blog!

Unhealthy Obsessions
Ha, I'm kind of gaining some unhealthy obsessions with fictional characters.
Well, only two really:
Edward Cullen from the Twilight series, and Fang from the Maximum Ride series.
I have, like, the biggest crushes on these guys, and they don't even exist! Haha.
Edward Cullen: understanding, old-fashioned, and a vampire.
Fang: quiet, emotional, and has wings.
:) Well, no one can be perfect.
Which, speaking of these amazing men, there's a new book coming out in each of the series, really soon!
Maximum Ride: The Final Warning comes out on March 17th -- I'm uber thrilled.
And Breaking Dawn, the last book in the Twilight series, comes out on August 2nd -- only six days before my birthday! :) I already have it preordered.
If you haven't read these books/series, you should definitely check them out.
Here are the Maximum Ride and Twilight wikipedia summaries. They're right on. =)
Plus, both series are becoming movies! Sooo, before you see the movies, I suggest reading the books; I'm a strong believer of the books-then-movies theory.
Oh, also... I've written some fanfic (fan fiction) for both series, so if you're a member of fanfiction.net, if you want, you can check me out. My author name is crazy about twilight. :)
Hm, that's about all. I actually got blog comments! -cheer- So thanks to all who commented.
That's all from me, for now. =)

Lovin' Matt Nathanson
So, there's this guy, and his name is Matt Nathanson.
And, see, he's kind of this amazing singer.

If you like alternative soft rock, then there's a good chance that you'll like Matt Nathanson's music.
And you know what else? He can actually sing. Yeah, that's right.
He's not one of those people who's amazing in the studio, but is really awful live.
No, he's great in the studio and singing live.
My favorite thing about the soon-to-be-super-famous Matt Nathanson: his lyrics say something. They have a message that speaks out.
Whether he's singing about love, or heartbreak, or just being alive, his words are so full of soul and passion... it's an unbelievable thing to experience.
Seriously, he's my new favorite artist. I get lost when I'm listening to his music.
So check him out: www.mattnathanson.com
You can find a full list of his albums and all the lyrics, as well as upcoming tour dates and cool stuff like that.
And if you get the chance, go and see him live! He has such a great personality on-stage. He's absolutely hilarious.
He practically says a joke or does something humorous between each song. And he'll have you laughing like crazy.
I should warn you, though. Matt does like to let some cuss words fly, so don't take anyone younger than, say, fourteen to one of his shows.
He toured through where I live, and I saw one of his shows. The f-word did fly several times, I'll admit, and I was probably the youngest one there (I'm fourteen)...
But regardless, he's awesome and unbelievable and the boy can sing. I dig him.
His newest album is called Some Mad Hope -- it's fantastic. And he has a live CD out called At The Point (Live). I like the live album best, because he makes comments between each song.
So, to tie this whole blog up: if you like listening to alternative soft rock, appreciate someone that can sing, and don't mind a bit of swearing, then check out Matt Nathanson! (www.mattnathanson.com) You'll probably enjoy his music. :)

The Evil Realities of Mother Nature
Look at this picture I took, and tell me what you see. Do you see neighborhood children running through a sprinkler, excited by the warm weather and happy rays of sunlight?
Or do you see people hiding in their houses, trying to escape the freezing cruelty of winter?
Yeah.
Guess what us upper east-coasters just got slammed with?
More freaking snow.
I'm so tired of this weather; spring and summer are taking entirely too long to get here.
I'd prefer summer over winter any day. I'd rather have the sun beating down on my back mercilessly than snowflakes freezing themselves to every warm part of my body that they can reach.
Sigh.
And since I take online school courses, I don't even have the pleasure of getting snow days. How wrong is that?
I agree. It's a twenty on a wrong scale from one to ten.
In addition to that, I also don't ski or snowboard, or partake in any winter pastimes.
So, all in all, winter is a bust for me. Therefore, I think it should just leave already. I mean, why stay somewhere it's not wanted?
Exactly.
I totally would've written a poem about my photo for you to read, but I'm too beat up over this weather to think a coherent thought, much less write a free-verse. My apologies.
Ha. It's my first blog post and I'm already bashing something that I have absolutely no control over. Fabulous! I see I'm off to a good start, already.
